Science Experiment: Students were to make a hypothesis on this question, "What do you think will happen when I put blue food coloring on the shaving cream?"- The shaving cream= clouds and the blue food coloring = rain.
Hypothesis:
Graham- the water might turn blue
Adelaide- I think the shaving cream will turn into flowers and it will be a butterfly in it.
Avy- It will just sink in and it will keep going going going until it gets to the bottom
Reese- I think that um when you put the blue in and the shaving cream will turn blue and the blue will get to the water and the water will turn blue
Makena- It will explode
Allie- It will turn into blue water.
Kaleb- It will turn into Cooper
Caleb- The shaving cream will turn blue
Keegan- Uh it will explode
Brylie- It turn into a butterfly
Cooper- It will turn into a blue bat man
Addie- um it will turn into a butterfly
Aubrey- Um i think it will turn into a big rainbow and with white clouds
Olivia- Um it will rain
Zoey- The shaving cream will turn blue
Grayson- Um I think the shaving will turn into ice cream
Juliet- I was going to stay the same thing as Grayson....actually it will turn into blue ice cream
Discovery- It rained and it rains in different places. It turned light blue and came out of the clouds SHAVING CREAM WERE THE CLOUDS. BLUE FOOD COLORING WAS THE RAIN

Outside Time: Students climbed, ran, and jumped around the Big Playground. They were building their large motor muscles.
Center 1: We read a book called "and then it's spring" by Julie Fogliano. After reading the story, students were to draw their favorite thing about Spring.
Teaching Strategies Gold (Objective 12): Remembers and connects experiences

Center 2: Students were to paint ten Z's. While students were painting, we said the letter sound and some words that start with the letter Z.
Objective: Demonstrates knowledge of the alphabet.
Objective: Demonstrates knowledge of the alphabet.
Center 3: Students watched The Three Little Pigs on the computer. After the story, students were to retell her what happened.
Teaching Strategies Gold (Objective 18): Comprehends and responds to books and other texts- Retell stories.

Students love the re-aloud books- so I found another book online called Are you my Mother?
Doing Read-Aloud books works on their listening skills and comprehension.

Art: Spring brings FLOWERS! Students used forks to paint flowers and used paint brushes to paint the stems.

Free Choice Time: Students could explore anywhere around the room. There is a new center called the Listening Center. Students could listen with a friend to a book with headphones.
Outside Time: Students dug for worms and played in the rockpit.
