Jesus Time: We watched a little clip of Jesus being born in a Stable. Ask your child how came to visit baby Jesus. Outside Time: Students climbed, ran, and dug for worms today. Free Choice: Students wrote Christmas cards, made paper chains, and built a city around the blue rug. Move Party: We watched the Little Drummer Boy in Mrs. Mudd's classroom. Happy Birthday Aubrey and Kaleb!!! These two friends are 4 and 5. They brought their friends cookies, juice, and cupcakes. I hope that your Birthday was filled with fun!!! Singing Happy Birthday to Kaleb and Aubrey!!! Chapel: Mrs. Helmkamp lead chapel today. She was getting ready for a Birthday Party for Jesus. Aubrey was our teacher helper, so she took up our offering. Center 1: Students were to push their friend in the sled. After that friend knocked down the snowman, they were to build it back up again. Center 2: Students were to decorate a tree with rubber bands. Another friend reached in the stocking to try and guess what they felt. Center 3: Students could play in the snow!!! Center 4: Students were to blow their "Snowball" through the track with a straw, to get to the other side. Snack Time: Students could build a snowman out of cookies for their snack. We drank Kaleb's juice at this time. Outside Time: After our Christmas Party, we just needed to run. We had a huge snowball fight. Some students even threw some snow at Mrs. Cruz and Miss Kirby. They are good at making snowballs and throwing them. When we got inside we changed some of our pants. Free Choice Time: Students were making Christmas cards, being servers at McDonalds, and driving the trains on the big blue carpet. Thursday Friends were finishing up their Artwork. They are painting Baby Jesus in the Manger. Zoey was our photographer today. Check out the shots she got of her friends.
Science Experiment: I am going to let your child explain what happened ,this morning, during our science experiment. Jesus Time: We read our Bible story about the 3 Wise Men following the Star. Ask your child what we made after that. Outside Time: It was a great day to be outside. Students loved to just run! Center 1: Students were to blow a cotton ball with a straw through the track to get home. They did a great job!!!! Center 2: Students were playing in Peppermint Snow!!! How cool! Center 3: Students were pulled across the carpet to knock the snowman down. After it was knocked down, they were to build the snowman back up again. Center 4: Students were to put rubber bands on the Christmas Trees. Also students were to then reach their hand in to the stocking and try to figure out what is in the stocking. Snack Time: Students could decorate 2 wafer cookies with frosting and add candies to make a snowman. This was a very yummy snack! Free Choice: Students were making Christmas Cards, painting with Christmas Sponges, building a town with blocks by a road, and decorating Dramatic Play. Students get to explore things that they are interested in and we expand learning that way. Art Time: Students finished up their art. We can now share with you that we made mangers out of our feeFrt and painted baby Jesus in the manger with our fingers. NO PAINTBRUSHES. Gym: I didn't many pictures of the students during Gym because I was playing soccer and basketball. Objective: Demonstrates traveling skills Our Photographer was Caleb today. Some students counted and answered questions on the SmartBoard, other friends wrapped presents, work on their fine motor by stringing Foot Loops on yarn for our tree, built in Block Area, and decorated the house in Dramatic Play. Music Time: Today, students learned different instruments and their sounds. After talking about the different instruments, we choose which one we would like to play. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEEGAN! We sang Happy Birthday to Keegan this morning. Keegan brought us YUMMY Cupcakes! Thank you Keegan. I hope that you have a FUN 5th Birthday. Commons: It was very rainy this morning so we played in the Commons Area with Hola Hoops and Balls. Objective: Demonstrates traveling skills. Centers this week will be a little different. We will not have a Math Center or a letter of the week. Center 1: Students were making Christmas Cards. Center 2: Students were getting ready for Christmas in Dramatic Play. Center 3: I painted the students feet brown...Look later on this week to see what we are making. Free Choice: Students were all over the room exploring. Some friends were painting, wrapping presents, driving the trains, counting chicks on the SmartBoard and more. Ask your child what they did. Music: This week, we are learning about different instruments. We listened to and play the trumpet, clarinet, flute, drums, and guitar.

Students drew a map with landmarks to their buried treasure. Center 3: Students were making Thank You Cards and Christmas Cards with Mrs. Cruz. Free Choice Time: Students could explore anywhere in the room. A couple of students were playing in the built area and one student wanted to make a stop sign for the Train and Cars. So we talked about the color, shape, and what a Stop Sign says. Objective: Participates cooperatively and constructively in group situations. Music: Today, is Friday and that means DANCE PARTY!!! Objective: Uses body movements to dramatize music Guest Reader: Mrs. Bunte came in to read us some Christmas Stories. The first one was about 10 in a Sled and the other book was about Jesus being born. After Mrs. Bunte read a story, we sang her our Christmas Song. Gym Time: Students could play with different kinds of balls and hola hoops at Gym Time.
