Jesus Time: Students watched a Veggie Tale Video about Gideon going to battle. God did not want Gideon to have too many men in Gideon's army. God wanted Gideon to trust in him. Students learned that they can trust in God every time.Outside Time: BRRR...it was very cold outside today. Students were playing tag outside. Remember to bring coats!!! Center 1: Students were working on sorting monsters by size and color. They now know that sorting means to put items in groups by the same size and color.Center 2: At this center, students told me what letter, the sound of the letter, and wrote the letter U. Some students wrote the letter U 10 times while other students wrote the letter 5 times. Free Choice: Students wrote in the shaving cream, had a Halloween Party in Dramatic Play, observed the Pumpkin, played in Block Area, and made books at the Writing Center.Music: We had a Halloween Dance Party. We danced to Monster Mash, I like to Move it, and Happy.Gym Time: Students were playing tag and played with balls.

Red Ribbon Week: Today was black and white day for the students. |
Outside Time: Students made a habitat for bugs, dug in the rock pit, rode bikes, and more. |
Center 1: Students were to cut out pieces of a matching puzzle.
Objective: Demonstrates fine motor strength and coordination.
Center 2: Students were make designs with pattern blocks.
Center 3: Students said the letter name, the letter sound, and the wrote the letter I.
Objective: Identifies and names letters and uses letter sound knowledge.
Free Choice: Students were dressing up for Halloween, making food with the Play Dough, playing in the doll house, and playing a new game called Uno Moo.
Objective: Participates cooperatively and constructively in a group situation.
Chapel Time: Students sang songs, listened to the Sermon (about what the colors mean in our church), and lastly our Teacher Helper ,Ayla, took our offering up to the front of the church.
Objective: Experiences worship and praise God enthusiastically.
Harvest Day Party: Friends got to make ribbon wards, paint, find leaves in the corn, and work with friends to make a silly Mister Potato Head with a pumpkin.
For snack, they make a pumpkin pie dessert. Thank you to all of the parents that helped out! They had a lot of fun!
Center 1: Students were to write the letter I and say the letter sound. Some students also drew a picture that started with the letter I.
Objective: Demonstrates identifies and names letters and uses letter sound-knowledge.
Center 2: Students were finishing up their pumpkins.
Objective: Demonstrates fine motor strength and coordination.
Center 3: Today, was our final day talking about bugs. We voted on making a butterfly. Each center got to help put something on the butterfly.
Objective: Learns how his or her individual efforts (art piece) work cooperatively to make a large collage or piece of artwork.
Outside Time: Friends were to burn off some of their energy and sugar from the party.
Objective: Demonstrates traveling skills
Earthquake Drill: Today, we had a drill for an earthquake. We hide under our desk for 30 seconds and then we walked out to the soccer field. All of our friends were calm!
We said goodbye to our bugs today. Water Half and Wormie had to find a new home for the winter.
Harvest Day Party: Friends were to paint their pumpkins and then put glitter on it. They had so much fun!
Harvest Day Party: Bowling with gourds and playing a ring toss game.
Harvest Day Party: Students were to build their snack out of Oreos, pretzels, and candy eyes. They could make a spider, turkey, or both.
Harvest Day Party: Students were to build a cobweb with spiders in the jar. Students took cotton balls to fill up the jar, then put 4 spiders in the jar. After they did that, they put a glow stick in it. Tonight, break that glow stick and turn out the lights.
Thank you, Nicole for all of your fun activities. The students really enjoyed it! Thank you also to the mom's that helped out! It was awesome!

Objective: Demonstrates knowledge of the alphabet.
Final Project: Students voted on which bug they wanted to make. Students voted on a Walking Stick. All of the students had a different job. Here are some students that were working on building his body.
During Jesus Time: Students were read a story about the Israelites making a Temple/Tabernacle for God so then God could live among his people.. In the tabernacle, there were some spices. Some of the spices were pepper, garlic, and cinnamon. The students could come up one by one to smell the spices.
Objective: Learns that Jesus/ God is his friend who loves, cares, protects, guides, and helps him or her at all times
Outside Time: We finally had a nice day to play outside.
Objective: Demonstrates traveling skills and demonstrates fine motor strength and coordination.
Center 1: Some students are counting out ten beads while other students are counting out ten beads and making a pattern.
Objective: Connects numerals with their quantities and demonstrates and recognizes patterns with environment.
Center 2: Students were to write/draw in their journals.
Objective: Demonstrates emergent writing skills.
Center 3: We sang a song about the letter I, students said the sound of the letter I, Students then thought of words that started with the letter I.
When in our groups, students wrote the letter I in salt and told me what letter they were writing.
Objective: Demonstrates knowledge of the alphabet- Identifies and names letters. Uses letter-sound knowledge.
Free Choice: Students had some new toys to explore during Free Choice. There was a new floor puzzle, a doll house, masks for Dramatic Play, weaves to make designs, and new Kool-Aide Play Dough. Also some students were cutting leaves out for their caterpillars.
Objective: Participates cooperatively and constructively in group situations.
Art Time: Students painted their circles orange with sponges and paintbrushes. We will have to wait until Wednesday to continue this project.
