Free Choice: This Morning, students could explore anything in the room. Two friends sat and look/read a book, some colored, and others worked together to build a huge tower. There was a lot of teamwork!
I took a quick pictures before we sang our song as a group...We sang the Mat Man song and did the actions to the song. This song helps us with knowing parts on our bodies and prepares us for writing the Long Line, Little Line, Big Curve, and Little Curve in our letters.
Jesus Time: Zippy, our puppet, came today! He forgot my name but we know that Jesus knows us each by name and loves us so much! Check out the Religion in the Classroom page to read our Bible Verse.

Students love to play together outside. This is a great time to solve problems, use their words, and build up their large motor muscles.
Center 1: Students wrote letters to their parents. Some students told me what they wanted to write and I wrote the words on another piece of paper for them to write on their own and some students worked on sounding out the words and wrote the words on their paper. Students are working on their fine motor while holding a pencil, writing letters, and sounding out the words to spell it out on paper. Check out their letters tonight!
Center 2: Students were to cut the colored paper and make a design on the white paper. Students are working on their fine motor skills and how to use scissor the correct way/ the safe way. At home, have your child cut paper to strengthen their hand muscles. This is going to help them in the future with writing, cutting, picking up items, and more.
Center 3: Students were to work together to build a road that goes around the classroom. This picture is just the start of that road! Students are learning how to problem solve and how to build connections with their friends.
Free Choice: This is an awesome time to observe students and to see what their interests are. Some students were exploring the balance and we talked about how we could tell which insect/rock is heavier. Free Choice Time is a great time to build on to students knowledge. Check out some other pictures of the students and what they did.
Students loved a second time outside today. They are building relationships with peers and using their words to solve problems.
