What will the weather be today? Usually we do this on the Smartboard but it was not working this morning. Our friend rolled with it and checked the weather anyway. She even told her friends what they need to wear on a day like today. Our friends are good with going with the flow!
Jesus Time: Zippy came to school today and talked to the students about Jesus making the whole world! Practice our Bible Verse with your child. Genesis 1: 10, "God saw that it was good."
Fire Drill: Today, students and I practiced for a fire. Students had calm bodies and quiet voices when lining up. SO PROUD! This is very important to practice so when it does happen for real then we will know what to do without panicking!
During Outside Time, students climbed on the monkey bars, ran, baked, and more. Try to find your child.
Guest Reader: Mrs. Stuhr came into our classroom and read us two stories about people that did BIG things for God.
Center 1: We have a new letter this week. L! I had some clues I gave the students on words that started with L and they had to guess what letter it was. We then came up with words that start with this letter.
Students then wrote the letter L. During this time, we talked about the Big Line and the Little Line and how they make a L.

Center 2: Students were to unwrap the straws with their hands and then cut some straws with scissors. This activity helps strengthen the muscles in their hands and shows them the RIGHT way to use scissors. Please have your child practice cutting with scissors at home.
Center 3: For Jesus Time, we talked about how Jesus made the WHOLE world and thought it was good! Students were to use their small motor skills to cut out the circle and paint the world to remind us that God made the WHOLE world.
During Free Choice Time, Students could explore anywhere around the room. Students have been very interested in puppets, the kitchen area, and the sensory table. During this time, students are working on their social and emotional development, literacy development, mathematics development.
During Gym Time, we went outside to play. It was very hot so a lot of friends decided to play in the shade. Students loved to bake together, balance on the logs, play tag, and more. Students are working on their problem solving skills, balancing skills, and their large motor movement.
