Science Experiment: Students were to think of a hypothesis for the bag of water. The question was, "What will happen to the bag of water when pencils go through it?"
-Some thought it would explore and others thought it would make a big hole. Ask your child what the discovery was.
Student's hypothesis:
Graham- It might turn into a butterfly
Adelaide- It will make a hole.
Avy- It will um all the water will come out of the bag
Reese- Its gonna make a hole and all the water will drain out and it will be an empty bag
Allie- The water will come out of the bag.
Kaleb- It will explode
Caleb- The pencil won't work on paper if you try it.
Keegan- Umm it will blow up!
Brylie- It will walk away.
Hudson- It will blow up and it will explode and turn into a giant swimming pool.
Addie- It will umm turn into yarn
Aubrey- It will explode and it will make a big huge butterfly...like this big!
Discovery-
The pencils were blocking the water. What happened when we took the pencils out? The water spitted out.

Chapel: Students worshipped in God's House this morning. Mrs. Stanglein was the chapel leader. She read us a story about Jesus dying on the cross and then coming back alive to save us from our sins. There was also a special song that we sang. Ask your child to sing it to you.
Keegan received a necklace because he was baptized this month!

Center 1: Students were to make a pattern and continue the pattern until time ran out. After the time was down, we compared which one was the tallest and which one was the shortest.

Center 2: Students were to paint the letter y and then paint something that started with a y.

Free Choice: Students could explore anywhere around the room. Students were playing a rhyming game on the Smartboard, playing doctor in Dramatic Play, and building in Block Area.
Teaching Strategies Gold: Objective 10- Uses appropriate conversational and other communication skills. Objective 11- Demonstrates positive approaches to learning
Objective 14: Uses symbols and images to represent something not present. Objective 15- Demonstrates phonological awareness.

Art: Students were to trace their hand and then cut it out. After cutting out their hand, they were to color it like a flower. We made flower that went on our bulletin board by the cubby room.
