Morning Meeting: At this time, students passed out their Valentine's Day treats and we did a science experiments with hearts. The students had to make a hypothesis on which candy heart will dissolve faster, the one in vinegar, milk, soda, or water. Ask your students what happened. Objective: Missouri State Standards 3c. Commons Area: Students played with rings and cones. Objective: Demonstrates Gross Motor Skills and Traveling Skills. Snack Time: Students ate their Valentine's Snack (Pink Popcorn) and Juice. Art Time: Students had to cut on the black line and then weave the two sides of the heart together. Objective: Demonstrates weaving skills. Project: We watched a video on restaurants and we figured out we needed. We needed to make a door, a name for our restaurant, and signs! Students colored the door, wrote the name of our restaurant, and made signs to put around the restaurant. They are hard at work! Come check out the room!!! Valentine's Party: Students dug in rice to find treasures, dressed up with props for a photo shoot, used chop sticks to sort colored pompoms, and kept the balloons from falling on the ground. Students had so much fun during their party. Thank you to all of the parents that helped out :) Students were waiting so quietly to get their goody bags.

Morning Meeting: During this time, students put their treats in their friends Valentine's Day box. Outside Time: Students played on the big playground. Objective: Demonstrates traveling skills. Valentine's Party: Students made a Valentine's Day craft. They could make a owl, ladybug, or a butterfly. So cute!!! Relay Race: Students were to pick a heart and follow the directions on what you were suppose to do. Snack Time: Students loved the popcorn, pretzels, and chocolate chips. YUM!!! One Last Craft: Students put colored sand in a light bulb. The card on the light bulb said,"You light up my life." Science Experiment: Students had to decide which heart would dissolve faster in the liquid. We put the hearts in water, vinegar, soda, and milk. Ask your child which one dissolved faster? Objective: Teaching Strategies Gold- 3c. Solves problems involving physical properties of objects and materials. Makes predications based on experiences with objects and materials. Project: Students started to build the walls on our restaurant. The walls will go up tonight and tomorrow. Art: Students were to cut out heart pieces and then weave the pieces to connect the hearts.
